This competition proposal for Chongqing’s new international airport reinterpreted the spatial logic of Barcelona’s terminal, adapting it to a vast and high-traffic context in western China. The project envisioned a fluid passenger experience through a continuous roof structure, and a masterplan of supporting infrastructure and urban extensions. Ricardo Bofill was involved throughout the concept development.
