Puerto Bermellón is a concept for a small port quarter on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, combining a marina with residential and commercial uses around a sequence of squares and pedestrian streets. The whole quarter is held together by a single envelope of pigmented plaster, varied slightly in tone across buildings but unified at the scale of the town. Arched and rectangular openings, exposed stone bases, and roof terraces draw on the building culture of historic Mediterranean port towns.
