Yenikapı 2040 is a concept for a mixed-use cultural, commercial, and transit complex on the reclaimed land of Yenikapı, on the Sea of Marmara in Istanbul. A central monumental dome anchors a cascade of smaller domes descending toward the waterfront. The forms move away from the classical hemisphere into a softer, continuous geometry, treating the dome as a typological starting point.
